Happy Birthday, Fireboy Isaiah!!!

Back in January...

Isaiah wanted a fire truck birthday cake and a fire man party.  So we had a fire man party, shared with cousin Alexander whose birthday is just 2 days later.

Here's fireboy Isaiah starting the boy's team of firefighters on his fire truck...
Fire fighter Jacob, sirens blaring, lights a'flashing...
Firefighter Daddy, racing to the sight of the fire...
Even Grandpa was a fire fighter that night...
Here's our brave birthday boy, rescuing a trapped animal in a burning house - don't forget to crawl under the smoke...

Fire fighter Judah scrambling away from the burning house with his rescued creature...
Then it was the fire girls' turn - and they were even speedier than the fire boys.  Here's Lena rescuing a dog, jewels dangling and all...

Fire fighter Grandma, bravely sacrificing her knees to rescue a cute animal...

Fire fighter Selah may have been the speediest of all...

Fire fighter Aunt Kelly was extra brave, even through a tackle battle with her son...

...and major interference from her beloved (who didn't want the girls to win)...

One major obstacle of the party planning was obtaining enough red food coloring to create fire engine red icing.  A pink fire truck was not what Isaiah had envisioned for his birthday cake!  Thanks, Grandma, for fetching us 'another' tube of red food coloring...

And here's Alexander's fire truck ice cream cake... yummy!

Cake 'n' ice cream, anyone?

"Happy birthday, dear Alexander..."

Isaiah, pleased-as-a-peacock over his new Play mobile set...

Happy birthday, little man!  We love your goofy & sweet ways.  You are growing up so quickly, following in the footstep of that Daddy you so much adore (and resemble).  Now... if we could just break that thumb-sucking habit, then you'd truly be our little man.
