Memorial Day BBQ

Hi there! I'm Isaiah. That's me in the plaid. and this is my adorable little cousin, Helena. Isn't she just a doll?! I am very gentle with her, I even share my chubbs with her.

And this is my littlest cousin, Isabella. She's even more of a doll. Don't you think she's precious?! I take very good care of these girls. No boys better come around, or I'll show them who they have to reckon with first!

My big brother Judah thought Daddy was silly to smoke on a stick, but Judah copied him anyway. I knew better- I just stayed inside with Mommy.

Judah also wanted to do everything Silas and Selah did. When's he going to learn that they're the big kids?

Memorial Day Parade

Daddy was off this year to celebrate Memorial Day with us!

Selah wasn't so sure about all the noise at first, and spent the first 1/2 hour with her hands by her ears.

But the candy part sure was exciting!

2nd Day of Water Park... Family Vacation VI

Our last full day of our vacation was again spent at the indoor water park. After the initial disappointment that a couple of friends couldn't join us that day, we 'begged' Grandpa & Grandma to come spend the day with us. A little coaxing yielded much fun!

The Beeke's Visit... Family Vacation V

Kezia came to visit us in the Pocono's (and she brought her parents along) and stayed for a night in our timeshare.

Enjoying God's Beautiful Creation...Family Vacation IV

The first few days of vacation were chilly and spent mostly inside, but then the weather turned lovely and out we went! A picnic is a great time to talk about bugs (we have a daughter who's very gradually overcoming her fear of them), and about sharing, and trees and grass, and about the Creator Who created and planned it all.

Selah adores Isaiah and Isaiah adores Selah. It's a privilege to be a witness and a blessing that keeps them both entertained!

They both want to push (of course), so Selah and Judah found a way to 'share' in pushing:-)! It kept them busy until the burgers were ready.

Split Rock Resort... Family Vacation III

Our family vacation was at the Split Rock Resort (named after the image above) in the Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania. We stayed in the Willowbrook estates as part of a timeshare exchange- hopefully our last time using the timeshare system (anyone want to buy it?). Our accomodations were elegant and spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens all in one suite. Thankfully, our unit was on the ground level, so we utilized the patio and lawn with bubbles, playdough, ball, frisbee, kiddie pool, and whatever else a 19 month old and 34 month old can find to do.

Now here's the largest tub we've ever used - it fit our whole family!
