October Was...

October started in Michigan.  But I've already posted too many pictures from that trip!

Once we were all settled back home, October was...

...school time.  Here's Selah learning to classify objects
(part of an intro to classify the parts of a sentence)...
October was learning about Native Americans.  It was convenient that Judah received Indian play-mobile for his birthday from his MI relatives...
In October we built Algonkian wigwams...
...and painted Plains Indian teepees...

...the more paint the better, for some painters...

...pondering her next stroke...

...and we played with Indians for hours after hours...

In October the kids wrestled Grandpa's feet on a Sunday evening visit...

And October wouldn't be October without big piles of leaves to jump in...

...and cuddle in...
...and load up bag after bag after bag after bag... how many bags again?
October is mum plants in full bloom (with a boy in full patriotism)...

(by us we measure mums not in inches but in boy-lengths)
In October we enjoyed the great weather and Daddy's great strength...

October was a late afternoon enjoying the scenery and Uncle Daryl & Aunt Wendy's family...

...viewing the colors from Daddy's shoulders...

...finding the biggest stick...

...Willa & Hannah enjoying their rides...

...Jacob & Judah scaling a mountain...

...Queen of her mountain...

October was a visit to Daddy's work, waiting and waiting till all those customers were gone so we could get a hug from the friendly pharmacist...

...and at Daddy's work was a fire engine to practice driving, baby and all...

...2 future fire fighters dreaming...

...and face painting to complete the afternoon...

And October ended with a big, BIG storm(but I already posted about that).  Here are few more shots taken the following morning after the winds finally went elsewhere.  Below is the tree that just nicked the corner of our play set...

...and another tree that just fell away from our bedroom window...

...and a parting glimpse of our new look to our back yard.  Once upon a time we had a forest.  Then it all fell down.  And they all lived happily ever after with the hugest brush pile I ever did see!
