November started in the cold and dark, surviving 8 days without power. Judah's 5-year-old birthday party was post-poned (who wants a party in the dark?), and instead, we headed to a pizza place and bowling alley for a few hours of light and fellowship...

The lights and power did finally come back on, and we did have Judah's party, but that will be another post...
In November we celebrate both grandparents' birthdays. Here's Grandpa reading Isaiah's boy-made card...
...so we commonly heard around the house,
"The British are coming!"
"Shoot the Red-coats!"
"You be General George Washington and Mommy & Hannah are the British..."
"Mom, are we British or English? We must be English because we speak English, right?"
(sigh) What is it about fighting that attracts boys?
During Thanksgiving week we focused more on the first Thanksgiving. Once project was to make your own 'Indian vest'. Here are the smiling Indians...
Thanksgiving Day is probably our family's favority holiday (well, perhaps 2nd to Memorial Day's parade), but I'll add more pictures in another post...
November was also learning about the Declaration of Independence and an activity of trying to write using a quill pen...
