One October event was a field trip to an area nature center which hosted a Native American day...
Native 'regalia' (not to be called a costume) and dance demonstration...
Inside a wigwam, fingering furs, baskets, and tools...
Creating a Native American craft...
We swapped Hannah for Silas & Tirzah. Here Silas takes aim with a Native spear...
Trying to make smoke...
Takes a lot of muscle! I think anyone would be too warm to need the fire once they were successful...
Grinding corn...
We met the Gibellos while creating pottery...
Inside the nature center building were many creatures that weren't scary up close...
October was a brand new baby to hold and love...
Hannah, very, very proud to be holding Moriah Anne...
Isn't that a beautiful, pink little face?!
That's 8 on that couch! Wow! Some day, Lord willing, we'll look back at this picture and think, 'Awww, they're soooo cute and soooo little!'
The days go by sooo fast. I often wish I could freeze a moment and hold it forever.
October was another field trip. This time to Museum village. With an old museum with the skeleton of a mastodon and one little boy...
What else filled October? House projects piled on top of house projects, hoping to get finished before the coming baby. So glad we have so many helpers!
