October Was...

 ...full of sunny, warm days.  Great weather for outside play and outside chores.

One October event was a field trip to an area nature center which hosted a Native American day...

 Native 'regalia' (not to be called a costume) and dance demonstration...

 Inside a wigwam, fingering furs, baskets, and tools...

 Takes a lot of muscle!  I think anyone would be too warm to need the fire once they were successful...

 Inside the nature center building were many creatures that weren't scary up close...

 October was a brand new baby to hold and love...

That's 8 on that couch!  Wow!  Some day, Lord willing, we'll look back at this picture and think, 'Awww, they're soooo cute and soooo little!'
The days go by sooo fast.  I often wish I could freeze a moment and hold it forever.

October was another field trip.  This time to Museum village.  With an old museum with the skeleton of a mastodon and one little boy...

And the highlight of the village was the blacksmith...

What else filled October?  House projects piled on top of house projects, hoping to get finished before the coming baby.  So glad we have so many helpers!
