Willow Valley Trip

We came home last night from a trip to the Amish country, a packed full vacation spent with Uncle Dave, Aunt Michelle and Julia...here's a pretty tree outside the crossover at Willow Valley...
Ashley & Bridget, the horses that pulled the buggy ride...
Mommy & the boys were resting back at the hotel while Selah & Daddy rode on an Amish buggy!
Great shot out the buggy window...
The passengers (not so Amish looking)...
Then we rode the Strasburg Railroad, operating since 1832! Here's the conductor talking to the girls...
Daddy & his big boy...
The coaches were nicely refinished in all the original style...
Hiding beneath the seats...
The real coal-burning locomotive- it's amazing what the power of steam can do...
Posing out the window...
Coal burning stove in the background...
Our group...
Daddy and his big boy again...
Monkey-see-monkey-do...
Since the weather was so beautiful, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the Cherry Crest Farm with wagon rides...
...tunnel rides...
...gunny sack rides...

...hay bale tunnels...
...giant 'pillows' to jump on...
...or fall on...
...or play ring-around-a-rosie on...
...petting sheep...
...feeding goats...
...alm0st getting eaten by goats...
...squeezing the poop (literally) out of chicks...
...petting chicks...
...precious little fluff, only 1 day old...
...learning how to milk a cow...
...and wondering how the 'milk' comes out of there.
After a very busy day Judah enjoyed a great meal of mac-n-cheese...
...and boy, did it taste good!

Yesterday we spent some time enjoying the many pools...
No fear! I sometimes wish he had a bit more fear of water...
No fear in this boy either! He wanted to splash and splash and splash and eat and eat and eat the water...

Here's the froggy's tongue...

...and here's the froggy's back to slide down!

  1. Looks like you had a blast! Great pictures too! I miss that Amish country, if we weren't so busy we would have taken a trip out there already.

  2. What fun!! All the kids are getting so big. Love checking your blog...you certainly are on top of updating it much more frequently than we do...where do you find the time with 3 little ones?? Maybe Selah is helping now :-)
