Visiting the Creation Museum...

The Creation Museum has been high on our list of desired 'field trips' for years, so we thought last year was the right time for a visit.  Last June we finished our study of world history from the Creation through the Greeks, so the museum was a perfect fit to our school-year-end celebration.

By the way, we highly recommend this museum for everyone!

So here's our Isaiah posing in front of the prophet Isaiah, his namesake...

Beholding the wonders of the Garden of Eden...
"And behold, it was very good!"
My parents in front of the exhibit revealing some of the results of the fall, one dinosaur killing another...
Part of a mini replica of Noah's ark...
Enjoying the sun in the museum's luscious gardens...
Isaiah swinging on the suspension bridge...
The museum's petting zoo, showing the various animal kinds that may have been on the ark...
Our little animal lover caressing a little chicken, wishing to take her home with her...
Posing in front of a dino with Grandpa & Grandma...
 Family pose...

June Was...

... busy!  Packing up one house, going on vacation, packing boxes, last minute house projects, packing boxes, finishing the school year, packing boxes, unloading at our new house, unpacking boxes, etc.  Phew!  Makes me tired just remembering!  We closed on our old house and moved into our new house all in one day!  All on the last day of June!

June was enjoying the last benefits of a hilly backyard...
Water + Grass + Mud = extreme fun!
 "Let's make a train!"
June was a little boy beginning to really bond with his rough big brothers...
June was a special evening for Michelle and I with our oldest daughters...
June was also a piano recital, which Selah & Judah always enjoy...
 Selah's turn...
Grandpa and some of his students...
June was a family vacation to MI with a slight detour to visit the Creation Museum (more photos in a later post)...
Hannah and I enjoying the water slide at the campground in MI...
And June was packing up and cleaning up our old home and moving into our new home.  Here is Hannah eating her breakfast on the ground.  Since we only had one day to move out of one home and into the next, all our furniture was loaded on a Saturday to be unloaded at our new home on a Monday...
...so we camped out at our old home for a couple days.  The kids rather enjoyed the 'primitive' setting!
 A big empty, lonely-feeling house...

The Rest of May...

A combined birthday party for Jacob & Peytra at PV Park...

Lots of kids enjoying summer activities with not quite summer temperatures...
 Littlins eating...
And an even littler one feeding...
 The attraction of sand...

 Enjoying her first birthday cake...
Emily squeezing Hannah tight...

Memorial Day 2014

Still catching up... I've got a long way to go!

What would a Memorial Day be like without a parade and bags to collect all the candy?
More kids waiting for the candy to fall...
We hosted the Memorial Day BBQ at our old house.  Too many photos of cute, sweaty kids...
 ...get those liquids in!

Julia and Emily posing on our hill...

 A sushi treat!
Whose idea was it to roll down the hill?
Sand...boys...trucks...boys... getting some of the last use out of our massive sand box...
 Asher manning the bulldozer!
Friends pausing to pose... (not sure if Shifrah is capable of pausing!)
 Gotch-ya, Joe!
 Busy drinking and watching...
 ...the daddies play lawn croquet!

Field Day 2014

How many hits does it take to hit one nail in?  Depends who's hitting...
How many seconds to be officially wearing all the articles of clothing? (Do you recognize the little one on the left?)
How long does it take to get every team member through the croquet course?
 Eric at the high jump...
Cayden getting some air on the long jump...
 Judah's team dressing up...
Hannah A. helping Hannah R. on the obstacle course...
How long does it take to get everyone through a hoola-hoop without dropping hands?
The water balloon line-up with Duane reffing at the end...
 "Here, Hannah!"
 "Asher, it's wet!!"
 "Good catch, Judah!"
Even the parents had their competition...
 Elijah remained a spectator...
 Moriah decided to participate...
 Can't have a field day without a tug-o-war contest!
 Wearing the bronze...
 Going for the silver...
The yellow/orange team takes the gold!
